Chabeel Organized to Commemorate Martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji

To commemorate the 414 th Martyrdom Anniversary of the 5 th Sikh Guru, Shri Arjan Dev Ji,
Chabeel Day was organized at the Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute (NEI), Rishikesh on Tuesday,
26.05.2020, in the truest traditions of Sikh History.
As is customary, cool sherbet and parshad were distributed among patients, their attendants and
the employees of NEI.
H.H. Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji of Nirmal Ashram, Rishikesh exhorted that the attainment of
Prabhu is possible only by traversing the path as suggested by the Guru. Sant Baba Jodh Singh
Ji, General Secretary, Nirmal Ashram, Rishikesh opined that the martyrdom of Guru Shri Arjan
Dev Ji marked the most supreme sacrifice, and is the gold standard in Sikh History.
All members of NEI pray that the Holy Guidance and Benevolence of the Guru is always
bestowed upon Nirmal Ashram, its Sister Institutions and all their staff members.

NEI ADJUDGED THE BEST EYE HOSPITAL OF THE YEAR 2019

NEI was awarded with the Best Eye Hospital Award for the year 2019 at the Six Sigma
Healthcare Excellence Awards, 2019 organized under the aegis of Six Sigma Healthcare
Leadership Summit, 2019.
The award ceremony was organized at Hotel Pullman, Aerocity, New Delhi on Thursday,
26/12/2019. On behalf of NEI, the Award was accepted by Mr. Ajay Sharma, General Manager,
Operations and Mr. Pratish Srivastav, Liaison Officer at the hands of Mr. Subodh Uniyal,
Cabinet Minister in the Government of Uttarakhand.
The Hospital was conferred the honour from among 700 applicants by a Jury comprising public
figures, leading medical practitioners of the country, healthcare quality professionals and
bureaucrats.
The Jury cited NEI’s uncompromising commitment to maintaining prescribed quality standards
and its, more than a decade long, impact in alleviating the incidence of preventable blindness in
the regions it serves as the key attributes for being selected for the honour.
The Management of NEI has dedicated the Award to the hard work and diligence of the
Institute’s, doctors and staff.

EYE SCREENING CAMP ORGANIZED AT NIRMAL EYE CLINIC, RISHIKESH

With the Blessings of H.H. Mahant Ram Singh Ji Maharaj, an eye screening camp was organized at the recently opened Nirmal Eye Clinic at Dehradun Road, Rishikesh on Sunday, 20/10/2019.

The camp was inaugurated at the hands of Sant Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj, Secretary, Nirmal Ashram, Rishikesh and Swami Dashrathanand Ji from Bhagirathi Dham, Haridwar.

The camp was conducted between 10:00 AM and 04:00 PM and a total of 100 persons attended the screening OPD at the camp.

Nirmal Eye Clinic is replete with state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities and has been opened at Rishikesh for the convenience of residents of the town as well as patients who travel from the hills of various districts of Garhwal Region seeking ophthalmological treatment.

Poster/Painting and Essay/Poetry Competitions organized at NEI during the 34th Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight, 2019-20

With the blessings and inspiration of Param Shraddhey, H.H. Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj and Sant Baba Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj, poster/painting and essay/poetry competitions were organized by Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute (NEI), Rishikesh on Saturday, 31.08.2019.

A total of 38 participants from NEI and Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan Academy (NGA), Rishikesh showcased their talents based around the theme of Eye Donation.

Master Akhil Shreshtha, student of class 10th from NGA was adjudged the winner in the poster/painting competition and Ms. Kavita Rautela, Optometrist from NEI was declared the winner of the essay/poetry competition.

The 34th National Eye Donation Fortnight 2019-20 concludes in NEI with Felicitation of Eye Donors’ Family Members

With the blessings and inspiration of Param Shraddhey, H.H. Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj and Sant Baba Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj, twenty-five families of eye donors were felicitated by Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute (NEI), Rishikesh on Saturday, 07.09.2019.

The Chief Guest of the function, Colonel Abhaya Raj Sharma, O.I.C., ECHS Polyclinic, Raiwala, Shri Arjan Gurbuxani Ji, CEO, Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute, Rishikesh, Sardar Darshan Singh Ji, Manager, Shri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust, Rishikesh and Shri Ranbir Singh Negi, Principal, Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan Academy, Rishikesh greeted the family members of eye donors and honoured them with Saropas and mementos.

Shri Mohan Lal Bansal from Gulshan Polyols, Jansath, Muzaffarnagar was also honoured at the function. NEI and Gulshan Polyols have collaborated to deliver impactful CSR results pertaining to the ophthalmological wellbeing of people in and around Gulshan Polyols’ plants. Furthermore, Community Outreach volunteers from Khatauli, Najibabad, Nehtaur and Saharanpur were also felicitated at the function.

The function organized at the Nirmal Auditorium, Khari-Kalan, Rishikesh was attended by more than 300 people, including many devotees of Nirmal Ashram, Rishikesh who had congregated from Shergarh, Chidderwala, Bhaniyawala, Doiwala, Garhi-Shyampur, Khairi and Gumaniwala areas from nearby Rishikesh.

Mr. Ajay Sharma, General Manager (Operations), Dr. Asif Khan, Medical Superintendent and Shri Atam Prakash Kochhar (Babuji) of NEI led the entire staff to participate in the function with full zeal.

The event was successfully conducted by Dr. Ena Agrawal and Mr. Shashi Shekhar Singh.

34th National Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight, 2019-20

Eye Donation Awareness Lectures conducted by Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute, Rishikesh

 

The National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI) organizes the National Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight between 25th August and 8th September every year. Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute (NEI), Rishikesh, has since 2012, been in the forefront, regionally, in creating awareness about the necessity and importance of eye donation.

As in the past, NEI is organizing a plethora of activities to observe the ongoing National Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight, 2019-20. One such activity is a series of lectures on eye donation awareness which have been delivered by the Institute’s doctors at the following Institutions/Schools:

In these lectures, participants were enlightened on the concept of corneal blindness and how, the only way to rectify its incidence in India, is through eye donation. All participants were exhorted to become ambassadors for creating eye donation awareness within their communities and were made to understand the importance of eye donation for fighting the menace of corneal blindness in India.

34th National Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight, 2019-20

Eye Donation Awareness Rally Organized by Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute, Rishikesh

With the inspiration and benign blessings of Param Shraddhey, Mahant Ram Singh Ji Maharaj and Sant Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj, Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute (NEI), Rishikesh organized an eye donation awareness rally on 30.08.2019 during the ongoing National Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight, 2019-20.

The rally was flagged off from Nirmal Ashram Parking, located near the Old Tehri Bus Station, at 10:15 AM by Param Shraddhey Baba Ram Dev Pathi Ji Maharaj of Avdhootbada Ashram, Rishikesh, Mayor of Rishikesh, Mrs. Anita Mamgain Ji, Secretary of C L Gupta Charitable Foundation, Moradabad, Mahant Gurvinder Singh Ji, Swami Amrit Prakash Ji of Anand Dham, Rishikesh and Mahant Pradeep Das Ji of Shri Kabir Chaura Ashram, Rishikesh.

About 300 students from leading schools of Rishikesh, namely DSB International Public School, Foothills Academy Senior Secondary Co-Educational School, Shri Bharat Mandir Public School, Gurmat Sangeet Bal Vidyalay (Shri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust), Agape Mission School, Nirmal Ashram Deepmala Public School and Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan Academy participated in the rally. Another, approximately, 200 distinguished guest from Rishikesh and surrounding areas were also present at the rally.

The rally passed through the main lanes of Rishikesh town, with the participants disseminating awareness about the necessity and importance of eye donation. En route to its culmination at Nirmal Ashram, Rishikesh, the rally congregated at Adarsh Gram, Rishikesh, where Mahant Gurvinder Singh Ji, inaugurated the Nirmal Eye Clinic. The newly opened eye clinic is intended to bring quality eye care to the doorsteps of residents of Rishikesh town. Furthermore, this eye clinic would also make it convenient for patients coming from the hills of Garhwal Region to seek quality ophthalmic treatment in Rishikesh town itself.

NEI is committed to propagating awareness about eye donation and the entire Nirmal Ashram Family is hopeful that it will be supported by all in its quest to significantly minimize the incidence of corneal blindness in the region.
