Visit of Mr. Krishna Avtar from HelpAge India

The Dehradun district nodal officer from HelpAge India, Mr. Krishna Avtar visited NEI on 03.07.2016. The purpose of his visit was to conclude discussion on partnership with NEI to conduct 200 cataract surgeries in select geographies of Dehradun district. Apart from discussing the modalities of the project, Mr. Krishna Avtar also informed the CEO and managers about the various social causes that HelpAge India is serving in Dehradun, most prominent among them being livelihood creation amongst marginalized communities and old-age care.

Hosting of Veer Naaris

With the blessings of HH Mahant Ram Singh Ji Maharaj, Mahant Nirmal Ashram and the unfaltering support of Sant Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj, Secretary General, Nirmal Ashram, NEI  (Nirmal Eye Institute) hosted a contingent of 130 persons from the 8th Battalion (Bn), Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI), comprising of 36 Veer Naaris (brave women, whose husbands, in the finest traditions of the Indian Army, laid down their lives fighting for the nation), their family members and serving personnel from the Bn. This event was part of the Siachen Day celebrations, organized by JAK LI between 19th and 24th June, 2016.

Nirmal Cricket League

Nirmal Cricket League (NCL), the cricketing event of Nirmal Ashram and its sister Institutions, and the brain-child of Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute, was inaugurated on 05.03.2016. A total of six teams, namely, NAR (Nirmal Ashram) Blasters, NEI (Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute) Gladiators, NAH (Nirmal Ashram Hospital) Titans, NGA (Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan academy) Warriors, NDS (Nirmal Ashram Deepmala Public School) Terminators and NAC (Nirmal Ashram Construction) Fighters participated in the League. The inaugural match was played between NEI Gladiators and NGA Warriors.
