Diagnostic Optometry
The Optometry department at NEI is managed and run by ten qualified and experienced staff members.
Apart from the main domain of Refraction, the department also provides services in the areas of Low Vision, Contact Lenses, Vision Therapy and Ocular Prosthesis.
A 1 year practical training programme for under-experienced Optometrists is provided by the department, thereby giving them an opportunity to hone their skills and preparing them for a successful career in Optometry.
To keep abreast with the latest developments in the field of Optometry, the department regularly organizes conferences, which are supported by NEI through its Continuing Medical Education initiative.
