Farewell Program
A farewell programme was organised by the management at the NEI Recreation Centre for the Optometry students of Uttaranchal University, Dehradun on 5th February 2026.
A group of 15 third-semester students had joined NEI one month earlier for observation-based training. During the training period, the students were exposed to and observed the complete workflow of various departments, including Optometry, Wards, Operation Theatre (OT), Reception, Laboratory, Counselling, and the Optical Store.
To enhance their practical skills and subject knowledge in the field of Optometry, regular classes and hands-on demonstrations were conducted throughout the training tenure.
The training programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Amit Maitreya, Director-Academics, and Mr. Shashi Shekhar Singh, Optometry In-Charge.
Following the successful completion of the training, a feedback session was held in which the students shared their experiences at NEI and submitted their logbooks.
